TOXIC AIR A MATTER OF PUBLIC SAFETY – TYLER
Commenting on the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee’s report on Air Travel and Health, Lord Tyler, who has long campaigned for action to protect passengers and crew from contaminated cabin air, said: “After years of trying to persuade Ministers to give appropriate priority to the problem of cabin air contamination, this committee has now underlined the need for urgent action. To give high priority to research is clearly long overdue, as the committee concludes. “The continual complacency of a succession of Ministers, faced even with evidence of a commercial cover-up over the last decade, has been breathtaking. “I hope and trust there will be no further procrastination, and no more pretence that this is this merely a commercial issue of private concern. It’s a very serious matter of public safety to both air crews and passengers.”
