BLAIR LETTER SHOWS LOSS OF PRINCIPLES - LORD TYLER
Commenting on Tony Blair's letter to Michael Foot written following the Beaconsfield by-election 1982, which was published today, Liberal Democrat Peer Lord Tyler, who stood against Blair in that by-election, said:
"This letter reminds me of the principled socialist, whom I did not agree with, but very much respected, all those years ago.
"It is sad to see the extent that he has sold those principles down the river leaving an ideological vacuum."
