WATER POISON “COVER UP SCANDAL”
“The victims of the Lowermoor water poisoning incident in North Cornwall – now living in the shadow of a serious risk of Alzheimer’s Disease – should have been warned immediately and their subsequent health monitored” said former local MP Paul Tyler, now Lord Tyler, this weekend.
“Michael Howard was the responsible Minister at the time. We know that he was all too well aware of the likely impact on the sell-off if the full health risks were revealed. Perhaps he can tell the victims of the worst ever water poisoning incident who advised the Authority to play down those risks …. and why proper monitoring of their health never happened.”
“The accident itself was a real disaster: the subsequent cover-up was a scandal. The victims now deserve to know the truth.”
